I’m a freelance writer, a dabbling scrapbooker, a novice gardener, and experimental baker. Holding all these things together is a belief in creative simplicity, a Bible-centred philosophy about enjoying life ‘in all its fullness’ through a creative, appreciative use of fewer, simpler resources – ‘it’s the rich simplicity of being yourself before God’ (1 Timothy 6:6, The Message).
I long to live in the kind of community described in Acts 2:42-47 and am working with others in my church to make our reality more like this model.

Hi Sarah.
I’m so happy to have found your blog!
I have recently been convicted about living out my faith through simplicity, sustainability, and fair trade. It’s nice to have a model of someone else with the same convictions who has had a little more practice following through with them.
I’m preparing to be part of a church plant here in the U.S. late this summer, in which we will be sharing homes and other resources with eachother. I look forward to reading all of your great ideas, as we strive to be the kind of community you have envisioned here.
Thanks for all your thoughts!
Becca
